Weekend – with feathers?

By eija | January 23, 2010|

Thursday evening I was convinced it was Friday already. Well it wasn’t so I still had to go to work the next day! Well, work was ok because I actually had stuff to do there and I got a lot done during the day. It’s also that time of the year again:

I’ve made the info sheet about the archives department. With photos etc. and now it was time to update that again. So I got to play the photographer role, too. Yeah, just a simple monkey-chart-type portrait but it’s still fun. Plus I managed to make their boss sit on the chair again and we got a good laugh from it :D

The Visa bill finally arrived and I paid it – so there’s one worry less. Next week I must call the vet – Moriz needs to be castrated (I’ve been putting it off for a year now) and Pepe obviously has some tooth problems.

I wrote a lengthy text about personal struggles here – and removed it.  Not sure I wan’t to write it here, in the middle of everything trivial. And in any case, I need to think about it first.

My friend Susan left a comment here the other day, with a quote from Emily Dickinson:

Hope is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without words, and never stops at all.

I think I’m in need of some feathers…

    Thanks for the shout out!

Here is a verse I was just thinking about, as long as we’re talking about feathers!

    Psalm 91:4 (New Living Translation)

4 – He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

Daily life is full of highs and lows – I feel them too. I’m glad that God is mindful of it all – and cares. It sounds silly, but grab onto HIS feathers. :-)
